옛 고향 마을 변함없구나
기차에서 내리면서 보니...

Notes:
감옥의 사형수가 죽어서 돌아갈 수밖에 없는 고향을 애틋하게 그리는 노래. 컬리 포트맨(Curly Potman)이 작사하고 작곡했다. 1966년에 톰 조운즈(Tom Jones)가 다시 불러 인기를 끌었고 그밖에도 포터 와그너(Porter Wagner), 조운 바에즈(Joan Baez) 등 여러 가수들이 불렀다.
Padre: 이곳에서는 감옥에서 사형수를 위해 기도해 주는 사제를 말한다.
Arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak: 새벽에 간수들에 끌려 형장으로 간다는 것을 암시한다.
When we meet beneath the green green grass of home: 자신의 시신을 고향의 풀밭에 묻는다는 것을 완곡하게 표현한 것.
